Hello, thanks for subscribing to the Dida Displays mailing list.
This list is to update you on what I'm working on and keep you informed of the progress of your pre-orders. It's also a way to talk a bit more privately about a few things...
I've been designing this displayset system for the last year but I feel it is the culmination of years of hard work (and obsessive Mego fun) rebuilding the Mego Museum, creating it's visual identity, and producing the trading cards which have been so well received. So, in addition to the Stately Mansion Caverns, Space Command Center and Super Phone Booth I want to make this Mego Museum WGSH Special Edition Displayset box available to Museum members.

As you can see, the backdrop is the entire WGSH Trading card set--Which magically fit perfectly into the wall---complete with the Hulk smashing through the very middle of the line-up. I couldn't have planned it better if I tried.

The floor has the Museum Logo and tagline, and the back features the familiar columns and blue brick of the Museum along with another playset logo, the CustoMego logo and the 70s Kids Toy Store postcard. I feel like it's a commemoration of the last two years at the Museum.
For obvious reasons I'd like to keep this fairly quiet and fairly limited. So, it's only offered to the people who have signed the mailing list so far--The hardcore Mego Museum members. I'm printing and sending the artwork directly to the factory this week to be sealed entirely--This will not be an interchangeable art displayset. I'm asking $40.00 for the set, which includes the snap-together walls, roof and floor. A plexiglass door can be added for an extra cost (I'm still working that out with vendors to get a better deal).
Mego Museum Special Edition $40---Deposit $20 via Paypal. This displayset should deliver in July.
If you've been thinking you don't need a gigantic Batman or Star Trek playset but would like to try a cool new vinyl display case for your Megos, this is a great way to go. I'm really loving the way these boxes stack together, and with the plexiglass doors they just make the collection shine. If you already have shelves the displayset box should fit right in a give a fun, new look. The picture below shows the MM Special Edition stacked with a Hero HQ, one of the Cavern levels and a city skyline.

Updating Pre-Orders: The art for the interior of Stately and Space is on it's way to the factory (American made, FYI). Check out the latest blog post about the printing. Pre-order deposits are due by April 25th so I can know how many to make. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. I'll be posting more of the final exterior artwork for the Stately set when it's ready. Im anxious to recieve the factory samples of the Tower and Elevator and will post that when they come in about 2 weeks.
That's all for now. I'll be posting in the blog soon about my developing ideas for expanded playsets. I'm currently working on Cowboys, Pirates, Monsters, and Knights....
Thanks for your support,
Scott
